The Mercedes 300SL, produced from 1954 to 1963, is a legendary luxury sports car model. Powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 200 to 215 hp, it reached a top speed of up to 250 km/h. The elegant design with luxurious interior was produced in different body variants. As a gullwing and roadster, the vehicle is a timeless classic and a coveted collector’s item in automotive history.
Pure-bred sports car technology
A special feature of the 300SL models is their bodywork. The elegant outer skin is mounted on a chrome-molybdenum steel frame. We have already restored several 300SL models to their former glory. In addition to full restorations and accident repairs, we have also carried out frame measurements on several occasions. Numerous frame heads have been replaced and axle misalignments repaired.
With attention to detail
We carry out restorations with the utmost care. On this 300SL, numerous rust penetrations and deformations on the outer skin, the wheel arches and the trunk floor were repaired. Once the tubular frame had been joined to the outer skin, we were able to match all the trim elements. A special accessory is the hardtop, which was also reworked by us.
Finish Work
The vehicle was completed on the straightening bench. After our body and chrome work, it was taken to the painter. The final assembly of the vehicle took place at a partner company.
