In this challenging project, we were able to clad three oven combustion chambers with custom-made steel freeforms. The aim of the project was to transform the unsightly oven combustion chamber into an eye-catcher in the interior.
Planning and development
In order to enable direct wall installation on site and to protect users from burns, heat propagation tests were carried out in advance. The planned structure of the oven combustion chamber and the outer skin, which are connected to each other via metal pins, was modeled. Temperature measurements on the inside and outside of the various metal sheets revealed the planned design.
The production
With the help of the Kraftformer, we were able to produce the cladding precisely and efficiently without using a knocking mold. The individual sheets were precisely cut, carefully welded and sanded to create a seamless and robust structure. The sheets were then aligned and leveled using the Kraftformer, creating a flawless surface. Finally, the cladding was tested for heat development on the outside and approved for use.
Surface and assembly
In a final step, the stove claddings were coated with heat-resistant paint. Since their installation, the stove claddings have decorated and warmed three apartments in an extremely elegant way. The exhaust air produced is discharged directly to the outside via the rear wall.
